R Care Cream

Proven safe to use before, during or after treatment with RADIOTHERAPY.

Reduces itching and skin irritation. Provides a soothing effect and reduces dryness of irradiated skin. With proven soothing action of Calendula.

Apply to body or face two to three times a day.

For external use only. Not to be used under the age of 16.

ATTENTION: Do not use R Care on open wounds or infected skin. Consult a doctor in case of severe skin problems due to radiotherapy.

Radiotherapy or radiation is an important treatment for cancer. It is a very effective local therapy. However, radiotherapy also causes side effects at the level of the irradiated region in 95% of patients:

• dryness
• inflammation
• swelling and heat
• redness
• pain
• burning sensation
• itching

These side effects have a negative impact on the patient's quality of life. Therefore, proper skin care before, during and after therapy is very important. R Care has a unique composition with Calendula, which has a proven soothing effect. The formula of the cream is based on scientific evidence.

In a clinical study of 100 patients irradiated at a large Belgian oncology centre between January 2022 and May 2023, the efficacy of R Care was compared with a widely used standard treatment (Flamigel) (= control group). The conclusion: R Care significantly reduces the risk of severe skin inflammation and skin dryness as a result of radiotherapy, better than the control group. In addition, less burning, pain and severe itching was observed in the patients with R Care compared to the control group. Also, the severity of these side effects was lower in the group of patients treated with R care compared to the group receiving standard treatment. The satisfaction of patients using R Care was very high*.

R Care contains no metal particles so it may be safely used on skin undergoing irradiation. R Care also contains no perfume or parabens.

The high-quality and environmentally-friendly packaging ensures hygienic and safer use, easy and economical dosing and a longer shelf life because there is no contact with outside air.

R Care has not been tested on animals.
